Selective Catalyst Reduction(SCR)

The SCR (Selevtive Catalyst Reduction )system helps to control the pollution of the NOx in the exhaust gases of generator(set). It takes NH3 or urea as reducing agent, under a certain temperature and with catalyst, using NH3 to reduce NOx to N2 and H2O. The NH3 is highly selective preferentially reduces NOx instead of reacting with O2 first, and that’s why it is called “selective catalytic reduction”.
